What are the benefits of Ginseng Tea and simple Ginseng tea recipes in traditional Chinese medicine?

1) Red tea with Ginseng & Red Dates in traditional chinese medicine 西洋参红枣茶

This tea nourishes blood and Qi, helps to relieve fatigue and boosts cognitive function.

 Ingredients材料 (serves 2-3)

  1. Ginseng 20 grams; 西洋参 20克
  2. Red dates 10pcs; 红枣去核10枚
  3. Red tea leaves 3 grams ; 红茶 3克


  1. Wash the red dates and remove the seeds. Cut half or into smaller pieces. 红枣洗净,去核沿着横截面切成一半。
  2. Wash the ginseng and put all ingredients into a pot of water (500 ml) and boil for 10 minutes. 将西洋参冲洗后与红茶,红枣放入锅,加水以大火烧沸,再以小火煮10分钟。
  3. Drink while warm. 等水温适合时即可饮用。


2) Ginseng tea(Radix. Codonopsis)with Wild Yam & Astragalus 党参黄芪山药茶

This tea nourishes blood and Qi, additional of wild yam is good for aiding digestion and helps in weight loss and breast enhancement. Radix.Codonopsis is commonly used in replacement of panax ginseng as its much more economical and has similar effects on nourishing Qi. Hence it's sometimes dubbed as the poor man's ginseng. You can replace it with panax ginseng or american ginseng too.

 Ingredients材料 (serves 2-3)

  1. Codonopsis radix 4 grams; 党参 4克
  2. Dried Wild Yam 10 grams; 山药10克
  3. Dried Astragalus root 3 grams ; 黄芪 3克


  1. Wash all the ingredients and put all into a pot of water (500 ml) and boil for 10 minutes. 将财力冲洗后放入锅,加水以大火烧沸,再以小火煮10分钟。
  2. Drink while warm. 等水温适合时即可饮用。
