The Royal Beauty Mask
This Traditional Chinese Medicine beauty mask used to be a secret formula from the Tang Dynasty. It was passed down from Yang Gui Fei, one of the 4 beauties in the ancient Tang Dynasty. She was well known for her beauty and she used this mask daily to maintain her beauty. It is believed that even the Empress Dowager Cixi, used this beauty mask daily and even when she was 70 years old, her skin was soft and rosy without much wrinkles or age spots. This secret recipe was leaked out of the palace one day and thereafter it was passed down generations after generations.
This TCM Royal Beauty mask is suitable for all skin types, in particular those with dry skin, coarse or rough skin. You will see significant improvement after long term use. It is also great for those with large pores and dull skin tone. It is commonly used to lighten dark spots, age spots or liver spots. With long term use, wrinkles will also be kept at bay. This DIY mask is so simple and economical to make and can be used daily to see long term benefits.
* Do note that this mask is not suitable for those with sensitive skin or if there is any broken skin or active inflammation on the skin. It’s best to test a small area before using to check for sensitivity. Apricot kernels are also not to be consumed when raw so this mask should not be consumed.
此方是古代四大美女之一杨贵妃所用的美容秘方,使用后颜面红润悦泽,娇美异常。据说慈禧太后天天都要用,以至70多岁脸面仍然柔嫩、红润,未见皱纹和老人斑。此方传出禁宫后,对后世影响很大,民间也纷纷应用。此方有柔软和红润肌肤,消除色斑和皱纹的功效。各种肌肤类型都可使用,特别适合干燥肌肤,毛孔粗大,皮肤粗糙。肤色暗沉及黄褐斑,雀斑,老年斑或皱纹多者。如果肌肤有过敏,发炎等状态时不宜外用。此方不但简单又经济实惠,可以每晚服用。
TCM Beauty Royal Mask 太真红玉膏
Ingredients:
- Apricot Kernel Powdered 10g ; 杏仁粉 10克
- Flour 30g ; 面粉 30克
- Egg white 20g ; 鸡蛋清 20 克
Instructions:
- Mix the ingredients together to form a paste. If it is too thick, add some water.
- Apply on clean face. Wash off after 15mins. Can be used daily.
Note: Powdered apricot kernel can be purchased from any Traditional Chinese Medicine store in Singapore. They can grind the apricot kernels for you to powder form. Some stores sell the powdered ones. Otherwise you can just use a grinder- I used my kitchen grinder with the some leftover apricot kernels I got after cooking the Stewed Pear with Chuan Bei for my cough.
